Israel’s Nationality Law of 1952, amended in 2008, has designated 9 countries as enemies of Israel: Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and the the Hamas-administered Gaza Strip.
Likewise, a number of countries forbid admission to Israel passport holders:

- Bangladesh
- Brunei
- Iran
- Iraq (except Iraqi Kurdistan)
- Kuwait
- Lebanon
- Libya
- Malaysia
- Oman
- Pakistan
- Saudi Arabia
- Sudan
- Syria
- United Arab Emirates
- Yemen
In addition, the following countries do not allow entry of people with passport evidence of travel to Israel, including possession of passports with used or unused Israel visa.
