As it celebrates its 75th year of service, Philippine Airlines, Asia’s first airline, has announced it will fly non-stop route between Mactan-Cebu and Los Angeles.
Flight PR123 LAX to Cebu and PR122 Cebu to LAX will begin operating on March 15th. It will operate 3 times a week, with flights slightly longer than LAX-MNL sector but convenient to travelers who wish to directly travel to Cebu or other southern provinces without making a stop over in Manila.
“Now that people don’t really have to go through Manila anymore they can go directly to Cebu. We have to expect a lot of diverse adventure travelers coming from LA directly to Cebu this time,” said Richmond Jimenez, Tourism Director for Los Angeles.
The new route comes as flights between New York and Manila opened in October last year.
